1. Love, respect, and innovation are the ultimate lessons for our students. We teach the beauty of human society and the diversity of peoples populating the earth. Each group has a precious perspective that can be learned and integrated into a way of life promoting mutual respect, understanding, and prosperity. Armed with this world-view, our students are encouraged to identify and develop their own individual talents, enter global society as global leaders, and contribute themselves to improving the world.
2. Bugil is the high school in Korea that offers every student enrolled with a three-year scholarship. In the pursuit of success, we don't want our students to be burdened by financial. Our student¡¯s tuition is generously covered by our corporate sponsor, the Hanhwa Group.
3. Bugil graduates accepted to the top tier universities in the world are given another four-year scholarship to cover all of their academic expenses while studying abroad. The confidence and pride gained from their three years at Bugil is further nurtured during their tenures at world-class universities.
4. Bugil's integrated curriculum combines traditional wisdom with applicable knowledge for the needs of real-world situations in the 21st century. Bugil lessons teach our students to find creative beauty in all aspects of human society by making connections between the traditional academic disciplines. They can see poetry in astrophysics, understand the cultural nuances of foreign languages, see the influence of history on economic practices, and observe psychological behavior in biological practices. Whether it is in international economics, politics, and history or in human behavioral psychology or the applied math and sciences for engineers, our students' knowledge prepares them to adapt to different environments and succeed as global leaders.
5. Bugil will receive 100 million dollars from Hanhwa Group by 2011 to develop its Global Leader Program. We have already invested 2 million dollars to renovate our resident hall, dining, and computer lab facilities. Our students also enjoy sports on our three athletic fields. We have an all-purpose track-and-field space as well as internationally-sized baseball and soccer fields. Further expansions to our 162-acre campus will include an extensive sports facility and arts center by 2011.
6. Bugil's student for GLP to teacher ratio will be 5 to 1. Our students have personal access to a world-class faculty recruited from the top universities from a variety of nations. They have advanced degrees and years of teaching experience in their specific disciplines. Our teachers' academic expertise as well as their ethnic and religious diversities largely contributes to shaping the worldly minds of our students.
7. Students at Bugil are privileged to study with the top 0.01% of their peers in South Korea. Each of our students tried their best to succeed in middle school and was specifically recruited for the academic discipline as well as humane spirit and open-minded character. 8. Bugil is ideally located on a gently sloping hillside overlooking the small city of Chonan. We have four distinctly beautiful seasons and enjoy clean, country air year-round. It is just a 5 -minute bus-ride to downtown and a 30-minute train ride to the international metropolis of Seoul. |
